Writer On: April Writing Goals

Hello Writer Bees!

Writing goals during a global quarantine? Sure, why not? Let’s make the most of lockdown.

If you’d like, take a look at my March goals and last month’s recap.

Writing Plans

  • Participate in StayHomeWriMo.
  • Keep working on initial suspect interviews.
  • Write a little (~200-300 words) everyday.
  • Brainstorm new scenes.

Reading Goals

  • Read entire first draft. (because I’m stuck plot wise)

What do you guys think of my goals? And what are your writing plans for this month? Talk to me in the comments!

  1. Great goals! I have some prompts that I’ve saved and plan on writing at least 500 words per day for them. I love looking up prompts that I can come back to later when I need inspiration.

I love the “StayHomeWriMo.” Is that a tag now? If not, you should make it one. I think many of us are going to have to participate for a while! 😀

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. Yes it is! The folks with NaNoWriMo created StayHomeWriMo because most people are on lockdown and have time to focus on creative projects. And if you are looking for more prompts, I post a prompt of the week every Monday. Check it out and good luck with your writing goals.
