I’m authentic to the time period, because I lived through most of the stories I tell. And I do my research when necessary… although it’s often not as necessary as it seems, as with this that happened a few days ago: https://gregoutofcharacter.wordpress.com/2021/11/21/i-have-an-uncanny-talent-for-reconstructing-certain-details-of-my-past/

What a gorgeous prompt! I love seeing positivity fostered. More importantly, self-positivity. It’s so hard to say something nice about ourselves sometimes, and this was a delight to see. ❤
I'm most proud of how I portray my characters. I do my best to keep their actions in line with what is reasonable for them – how they heal, how they speak, how they process. I don't bend the character to fit the plot, but instead, allow them to flourish within the confines of my story. More importantly, I allow them to grow as the story progresses.

I use humor effectively. I mean, I crack myself up, at least. 😁

I write the way I think and speak. When people read it, they hear the real me.
Great post! We all should take a little time to be proud of what we do.

Hi here is mine for a bit of inspiration :
run free
when exhausted and weary,
remember you can still run free
paint the sky brilliant colours
and calm the wind to listen
– you just have to be you
