Outside blizzard howling,
screaming to get in
Inside, a crackling fire
the love radiating from within.
With hot chocolate and a cookie
in each of their hands,
Munching away quietly while listening to dad.
Another crazy story of when he was a boy,
Of how he got out of trouble much to his surprising joy.
“So I want to you what my daddy told me –
If you try anything we did
You’ll be in misery!”
