  1. My elementary school “published” my first poem. I lived in the north where the winters could be bone chillingly cold. Each teacher got a page in the annual almanac and mine selected my haiku about playing in the snow ⛄️ and catching a cold 🥶.

  2. Hi, I became enthralled by poetry after my nan gave me a ‘Book of poetry for children’ when I was about 9 years old. I then wrote my first poem about a herd of wild horses galloping across the hills, their leader being a white stallion!

  3. I vaguely remember writing a story in second grade, but I don’t remember what it was about, except that it involved a piano. I was taking piano lessons at the time, so that was something I was into.
