Lady Jabberwocky 
My main character lives in Jeromeville, a quirky university town. He was born in a semi-rural area called Plumdale, about two and a half hours from Jeromeville by car. (Both are fictional but based on real places.)

Peter lived my entire life in the city. Both his dad and Peter are regretting they didn’t ‘t buy a house on the countryside. The overcrowded streets are real challenge for someone to live with social anxiety. But the budget was tight in the eighties. Loans were expensive and Peter and his parents couldn’t afford a decent place to live.
Anyhow Peter grew accustomed to the dark house with its flaws and never wants to leave. However, he will have to in the near future; That keeps him up at night.
