Hello Writer Bees!
Wow. It’s August already. Time to set some new writing goals.
If you’d like, take a look at my July goals and last month’s recap.
- Write 200-300 words a day.
- Brainstorm WIP (in general).
- Write a short story for the blog.
- Straighten out the clues of the mystery story.
- Read something in fantasy genre.
- Keep reading over draft.
What do you guys think of my goals? And what are your writing plans for this month? Talk to me in the comments!

I like your goals. My goals are set. Write two 6000 word short stories, often cramped into early Saturday or Sunday mornings. Brainstorm five ideas for 2500 word short stories, so that I can submit a good one for an upcoming writing contest that opens September. Keep pushing for representation for my novel. Plan my next novel. I don’t have a daily word count goal because I write so inconsistently, but when I write, I try to get a lot done.

My goal is to write 1000 words a day, develop my world further and try my hand at illustrations.
